Viking Trout

A cultivated delight

Viking Trout is our moniker for the Norwegian specialty known locally as "Rakfisk," one of the most important cultural foods in Norway, tracing back to the Medieval Ages.

Smoked and cured salmon from Norway has been embraced and adopted across the world. Viking Trout is our well kept secret enjoyed among circles of friends. Each year, we come together to relish the Viking Trout, a delicacy crafted from trout sourced from the pristine rivers and lakes of Norway. These delectable fish undergo a unique process, immersed in brine for up to twelve months, resulting in a truly unique and flavorful culinary experience.

We delight in savoring Viking Trout served cold, accompanied by sour cream, beets, and potatoes. However, we extend a challenge to chefs worldwide to explore alternative and creative ways that showcase the versatility of our distinctive Viking Trout
